water.
According to Air India's area marketing manager Rudra Dey, the 25 staff quarters have been facing water supply shortage since the past two months.
"If the crisis persists, we may have no choice but to leave this place for Kolkata. If we do, I am afraid the flight regularities at the airport may suffer," Dey threatened.
According to Dey, there are four AI staff at the airport.
Dey added that they have talked to the authorities, including the PHE CE, about the water problems but to no avail. The security staff fetched him a bucket or two a day from whatever source they could find, Dey said.
Sources said that the water problem is due to technical problems in the supply line.
