Kenilworth to invest more than Rs 90 cr for its expansion

Kolkata, Oct 10 (UNI) The Kenilworth Group of Hotels will invest Rs about Rs 90 crore during next three years for the expansion of new Business Hotels and renovation of the existing ones.

On sidelines of the hotel's festive season plans, Vice-President (Operations) R S Singh told UNI that the group was planning to expand in the next three to four years.

The four star deluxe hotel since its inception in 1967 at Kolkata, now has its presence with a Five Star Resort and Spa at Goa and were planning to have three more in Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar and Ranchi, Mr Singh said.

'We are currently negaotiating for the land property in Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar and will need about Rs 55 crores to set the hotel there,'' the VP said adding that they would be spending Rs 36 crores for land acquisition.

The group would also be opening 25 villas all across Goa, he informed.

With a total turnover of Rs 36 crores from Goa and Kolkata hotels in last fiscal, the group is targetting for more than Rs 55 crores this fiscal.
