IAS officer tenders unconditional apology to Kerala HC

Kochi, Oct 10 (UNI) Senior IAS officer K Suresh Kumar today tendered an unconditional apology to Kerala High Court for violating the stay on the demolition of the 'Dhanyasree Yatri Niwas' in Munnar.

Mr Suresh Kumar, the former Officer on Special Duty heading the state government's task force on Munnar, filed an additional affidavit before the court in the contempt petition by P Dhanya and Sreekumari, partners of in the 'Dhanyasree Yatri Niwas'.

The court had on Monday expressed dissatisfaction with the officer's earlier affidavit which stated that he was not aware of the full details of the stay order.

In his additional affidavit, Mr Suresh Kumar stated ''I sincerely regret the error committed by me''. He also tendered an unconditional apology.

He also submitted that the error was bona fide and not at all deliberate.

The case will come up for hearing on October 15.
