Five killed as temple under construction collapse

Shimoga, Karnataka, Oct 10 (UNI) Five people were killed and 35 injured when a temple under construction collapsed in the town today.

Police said more than ten people were suspected to be caught under the debris of Shaneshwara temple under construction.

Efforts were on to rescue those trapped under the rubble.

Fire Force and police personnel with the help of local people were carrying out a rescue operation.

The bodies recovered were sent for post-mortems, police said.
