Ajmer, Oct 10 (UNI) Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti convenor Col Kirori Singh Bainsla said the decision to call off the eight-day 'Jail Bharo' agitation in Rajasthan was arrived at unanimously by the leaders of the core committee and Sangharsh samiti.

He ruled out any differences within the Gujjar leadership over calling off the agitation. In a brief talk with the newsmen at the Ajmer central jail, he evaded any reply to the question as to why rebel BJP MLAs Prahland Gunjal and Attar Singh Bhadana were kept away from the talks.

Meanwhile, BJP state general secretary Rampal Jat, who was acting as a mediator between the government and Gujjar leaders to end the 'jail Bharo' agitation, said further talks would begin after the Gujjar leaders decided on their representatives in the talks.

He said the Gujjar leaders had handed over their six-point programme to the government and the government had invited the Gujjar representatives for further talks to iron out the issue.

On the sidelining of the Gujjar MLAs Prahlad Gunjal and Attar Singh Bhadana Jat, the said, ''For the government, all leaders are equally important. The government included in the talks all the leaders recommended by Col Bainsla and other members of the Sangharsh samiti.'' Reacting to the perceived differences within the Gujjar leadership over calling off the agitation, he said, ''the government reached an agreement with the representatives of the Gujjar leadership and it is for them to resolve the differences if any within the community.''
