Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Andhra Pradesh today demanded that an independent commission be constituted to probe the charge of disproportionate assets against all people's representatives.

Referring to the corruption charges levelled against each other by TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, CPI(M) State Secretary B V Raghavulu told mediapersons here that as both had challenged each other, they should first subject themselves to a probe.

An independent Commission was needed to probe the disproportionate assets of people's representatives cutting across party lines, he opined.

Meanwhile, Lok Satta National Coordinator Jaiprakash Narayan told mediapersons that a probe should be ordered into the disproportionate assets of leaders of main parties. Cutting across party lines, leaders of main parties had amassed wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income, he claimed.
