Bhopal, Oct 10: Board examination for class V students will be scrapped in Madhya Pradesh, while no examination fee will be charged from students appearing in class VIII board examination, Education Minister Laxman Singh Gaud said.

''Though there will be no board examination for fifth class students, level of valuation of answer sheets will be at par with board level,'' Mr Gaud said while reviewing the working of Education department here yesterday.

To ensure that classes are conducted regularly on all teaching days, teachers will not be assigned non-academic duties except election and census work, Mr Gaud added.

The system of attachment of teachers will be scrapped immediately and it will be ensured that at least two teachers are posted in each primary school through rationalisation, he added.
