APCC lambasts Naidu for levelling allegations against CM
Hyderabad, Oct 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee(APCC) acting President G S Rao today alleged that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu was levelling baseless allegations against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy due to frustration.
Talking to newspersons at the party headquarters here, he alleged that Mr Naidu had failed to play a constructive role as an opposition leader.
He alleged that Mr Naidu, during his nine year rule, had totally neglected the agricultural sector and failed to implement any projects to help the farmers.
The present government, during the last three years, had taken up several welfare measures for the benefit of the poor. It had implemented many irrigation projects to increase the agricultural production and help the farmers.
Under the Indiramma Housing Scheme, the government had constructed houses for the poor people in the state, he said.
He said AICC General Secretary and state in-charge Veerappa Moily would be here on a three-day visit from October 23.
