Bangalore, Oct 10: Airtel, one of the leading telecom service provider, has launched 8mbps broadband internet access to bring to Indian customers speeds, that will revolutionise their experience and unleash the true power of internet.
Airtel Broadband President Atul Bindal told reporters here today that the 8mpbs broadband will initially be available in Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, New Delhi and with subsequent rollout in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
"At Airtel endeavour was to enhance customer experience significantly and provide more value and with this service we now offer a truly world class broadband experience, wherein customers would be able to download heavy files, view streaming videos and enjoy online gaming," he said.
Further, they can browse on multiple window at the same time without compromising on the performance of any application, he said.
Airtel customers will no longer have to wait for a video to get buffered while watching streaming videos, he said adding that they would be able download a 5 mb music file in five seconds flat as compared to 160 seconds on 256 kbps connection.
