25 TMC Krishna water for Marathwada: Deshmukh

Beed, Maharashtra, Oct 10 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today announced 4 TMC water for the Marathwda region in addition to its due share of 21 TMC from the Krishna valley project.

The region would now receive 25 TMC water as its share from the project, Mr Deshmukh said while speaking here at a function organised to mark the first death anniversary of veteran politician and several time MP from the district, Kesharbai Kshirsagar alias Kaku.

Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel, Maharashtra Health Minister Vimal Mundada and BJP national general secretary Gopinath Munde were also present on the occasion.

A government resolution in this regard had already been issued and the government would make a Rs 2500-crore provision for the project to avail the Krishna water, he said.

Mr Deshmukh also assured that appointments to various government corporations would be made soon. He also said that vacant posts of officials in the state too would be filled up.
