Kozhikode, Oct 9 (UNI) The pro-IUML Kerala State Muslim Youth League (KSMYL) today demanded the expulsion of State Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac from the Cabinet for his alleged links with ''agents of imperialism''.

Talking to newspersons here, KSMYL President K M Shaji said Mr Issac had no moral right to continue in office as the allegations made by the 'Padhom' magazine that his organisation Kerala Shastra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP) was a ''betrayer of the sovereign rights of the people and was an agent of imperialist expansion'' had been proved correct by a court in a defamation case.

He said the charges made in the May-June 2003 issue had been vindicated by the order of the Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on September 28, acquitting the printer and publisher of the magazine in a defamation case filed by the KSSP.

The court order also substantiated the charge that the organisation had received Rs 16 crore from imperialist forces, he said and called for a comprehensive probe into the entire issue.
