Mumbai, Oct 9 (UNI) Nyay Andolan, an umbrellla organisation of some 22-various Muslim outfits, today demanded that all the individuals who have been indicted by the Srikrishna Committee for their alleged role in the communal riots in Mumbai during 1992-93, be booked under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).

The Andolan also demanded implementation of the findings of the Commission's report in toto.

Addressing reporters here, Samajwadi Party MP and chairman of Quami Majlis-e-Shhora Abu Asim Azmi said ''We were assured by the government that it will act on the report by October 25, but unfortunately it has failed to keep its promise.

The riots victims demand justice. We have planned a massive rally on October 25 at Azad Maidan to press the government on this issue.'' ''We demand compensation for all riots victims at par with the the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots in Delhi. We also demand that all the individuals indicted in the Srikrishna Commission report be booked in MCOCA and tried in special courts. These murderers are no less than terrorists,'' Mr Azmi said.

The Andolan also said it will organise 30 corner meetings across the metropolis to mobilise support for its rally, which it terms as ''rally for getting justice''.

The Nyay Andolan comprises All India Mulim Personal Law Board, All India Milli Council, All India Jamiat-e-Ulema Hind, Qaumi-Majlis-e-Shoora, Movement for Justice and Peace, All India Ulema Council and several other Muslim groups.
