Govt takes up Mysore Palace illumination works
Mysore, Oct 9 (UNI) The Karnataka government has made special illumination arrangements for Mysore Palace during the ten-day Dasara festivities, commencing here on October 12.
Palace Board sources told UNI that more than 96,000 bulbs would light up the structure during the festivities, besides special illumination of the city's important circles and roads near the palace.
Meanwhile, the Chamundi Electricity Supply Corporation had made special arrangements for the illumination of the Chamundi Hills with special-effect lights.
Both the Central and state government buildings would also be illuminated during the festival.
The illumination timings at Brindavan Gardens at Krishnarajasagar reservoir near here would also be extended by one hour during the festival period.
