AP to renovate Salar Jung Museum
Hyderabad, Oct 9 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government, in collaboration with the Centre, will renovate the Salar Jung museum here.
Hosting an 'Iftar' for the elite in the city, Governor N D Tiwari said today the governments would take special care to preserve for posterity important historic monuments in the city.
The museum comprised rich collection of artefacts by Salar Jung III. Some of them belonging to different civilisations dated back to the first century.
The Governor welcomed Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as his ''younger brother' for the 'Iftar' that was attended by Ministers K Rosaiah, K Jana Reddy, Md Ali Shabeer, Md Fareeduddin former Karnataka Governor V S Ramadevi and former Kerala Governor P Shiv Shankar.
