Tumkur (Karnataka) Oct 8 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party leader B S Yediyurappa today lambasted both Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) and termed them as adept in 'cheating.' Addressing a public meeting, the first ever in the state as part of the eight day awareness programme from today, he said both the parties were two faces of the same coin and had no respect for democratic values. He clarified that he would not be after power and serve the people. " I am ready to work. I will not go in search of power and will never take undue advantage and act like JD(S) and Congress leaders," he assured saying that he will never take the names of both H D Devegowda and H D Kumaraswamy henceforth.

He requested the people to give their verdict wholeheartedly as it would help his party to serve them for a full term.

He said he would ensure that programmes for the people initiated during his tenure as the Finance Minister would be continued.

Party Member of Parliament Ananth Kumar, who was also present, said Mr Yediyurappa would lead the party in the next election and become the Chief Minister through the people's mandate.

State Party Chief Sadananda Gowda alleged that the JD(S) took advantage of the 'silence' maintained by the BJP during the transfer of power period.

Earlier, the leaders took the blessings of the Sri Siddaganga Mutt Seer and later proceeded to the public meeting.
