Siwhar, North Bihar, Oct 8 (UNI) Two hardcore CPI-Maoist guerillas were arrested from Sahapur village near here yesterday and several incriminating documents, including some Maoist literatures, were recovered from them.
District Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Mishra today said acting on a tip-off that some Maoist guerillas had assembled in one of the houses for a secret meeting, a special police team raided the house and arrested the duo.They also recovered some incriminating documents from them.
However, no arms could be found from them, the SP added.
Incidentally, both the arrested were wanted by the police in connection with their alleged involvement in several cases of murder, arson and loot, including the violence at Turki Bazar in neighbouring Muzaffarpur district in May last in which several people were killed.
After interrogation, it was revealed that both the extremists were the residents of Dariapur in Muzaffarpur district,the SP said.
