Students agitate postponement of army recruitment

Agra, Oct 8 (UNI) Angry over the postponement of army recruitment process, students today created ruckus and vandalised property at Sadar area here.

About 1.5 lakh students, who gathered at the army ground here, had an heated argument with the army officials over the postponement of the recruitment process without prior information, District Magistrate Mukesh Meshram said.

Later, the students created ruckus and destroyed property. They also tried to torch vehicles.

Swinging into action, police and senior army officials brought the situation under control.

A large number of PAC had been deployed to avoid any untoward situation.
