Chennai, Oct 8 (UNI) Ramco Systems, a leading provider of Enterprise Applications, has bagged an order for automating Inland Container Depot (ICD) from Adani Group.

Ramco will provide services to the ICD operations of the Adani Group, who have recently set up their largest Inland Container Depot(ICD) in India that will facilitate its container train plans, a Ramco release here today said.

Adani Group caters to the logistics need of the country by creating its own multi-modal links. It was constructing silos, warehouses, private sidings and inland container depots at various locations in the country besides entering the field of Third Party Logistics.

Ramco will offer a ground up Ramco Business Process Platform (BPP) based Terminal Operating System (TOS) to Adani that would take care of the train planning, yard management, terminal stuffing for exports and imports, warehousing, containerisation, CRM, interface with railways, customs and third party applications.

Ramco TOS would enable Adani to maintain rigid control over their business processes from the commencement of operations.

Ramco's solution will cover all the core business processes of container terminal management for their container yards across the country.

The solution will provide greater efficiency and transparency in its operations with a high degree of automation coupled with container tracking, the release added.
