Solan, Oct 8 (UNI) A Chandigarh school boy was killed and his five other friends were injured after their car veered off the road and fell into a gorge at Chakki Ka Mour on the Kalka-Shimla National Highway today, police sources said.
The accident took place on a kutcha road leading to Bhojnagar to which the students had turned their car from Kalka-Shimla highway.
The sources said the injured, including three girls, were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital at Chandigarh.
The students of Kailash Behl DAV Senior Secondary School were on joy ride to the hill state as a sports tournament was going on in their school.
While Gaurav, a plus one student, died on the spot, others identified as Navpreet, Mehak, Palkeet, Navpreet and Anni suffered minor injuries.
A case has been registered and investigations are on, the sources added.
