Mah Govt sanctions special financial assistance to rice producers
Mumbai, Oct 8 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has sanctioned Rs 142.70 crore as special assistance to rice-growing farmers of the state for the year 2006-07.
Under this, the government would give Rs 1,000 per hectare and maximum upto two hectares to them. Of the sanctioned fund, Rs 50 crore was sanctioned from contingency fund on June 22. Now, the government has given an approval to disburse the balance fund of Rs 92.70 crore.
