Cong seeks dismissal of HDK govt, meets Gov

main
Opposition
Congress
in
Karnataka
Congress
urged
Governor
Rameshwar
Thakur
to
dismiss
the
minority
Kumaraswamy
government
in
the
State
following
the
withdrawal
of
the
support
by
the
Bharaiya
Janata
Party.
Party State leaders, including Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President M Mallikarjuna Kharge and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly N Dharam Singh met the governor and submitted individual letters from the legislators stating that they did not wish to support the Kumaraswamy led Government.
Earlier Congress General Secretary incharge of Karnataka, Prithviraj Chauhan met the governor and discussed with him for two hours the latest political situation in the State.
The BJP which withdrew support to the government on Sundfay following the refusal of coalition partner Janata Dal (S) to transfer power, as agreed 20 months ago, today began a state wide campaign against the JD(S) from Tumkur.
