Chandigarh, Oct 8 (UNI) Suspended Congress MP Kuldeep Bishnoi today accused the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government for misusing official machinery for the yesterday's Bijli rally addressed by UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.

In a statement issued here, he described the rally as a ''flop show'', claiming there was poor turnout even as ''crores of Rupees were wasted'' on the event.

Regarding announcement of free plots for dalits and backward classes by Mr Hooda, he claimed that the Chief Minister had followed ''my footsteps as I have recently announced HUDA plots for BPL families in case we come to power.'' He also suspected the timing for the laying of foundation stone for the 1500 MW Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Plant at Jhajjar by Ms Gandhi yesterday, saying it was done keeping in view the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

''It has been done at the behest of Sonia Gandhi to fulfil the power shortage in Delhi at the tine of 2010 Commonwealth Games,'' he alleged.
