Hyderabad, Oct 8 (UNI) Army Medical Corps (AMC), in association with the Apollo Hospitals, will provide a comprehensive medical coverage for the fourth 'Military World Games' to be held here from October 14 to 21.
Talking to newspersons here today, Medical Committee in-charge Col A K Patra said, ''There will be 15 first aid centres and emergency services covering all the venues and events.'' Polyclinics with physiotherapy services at Gachibowli, Artillery Centre at Mehndipatnam and EME Centre at Secunderabad would be set up.
Two air ambulances (helicopters) of Indian Air Force would be kept ready to operate between seven helipads at different venues and Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills.
''We will set up a mobile high-end diagnostic unit at the main venue in Gachibowli. A complete disaster management plan has been developed and four quick reaction teams have been stationed at each polyclinic location to join the rest of the medical services in case of a disaster,'' Col Patra said.
Speaking on behalf of the Apollo Hospitals, K Hari Prasad said, ''Every participant will be covered and they can go back with happy memories from Hyderabad.'' ''In addition to the tertiary care services at Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills, three more centres -- Secunderabad, Hyderguda and Kanchanbagh -- would provide medical facilities to the participants.''
