New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Janata Dal (U) president Sharad Yadav today ruled out any disciplinary action against party leader George Fernandes for boycotting the party's National Executive Meeting.

''No action is needed on such minor issues,'' Mr Yadav told reporters at the end of the two-day meeting held at Parliament Annexe here.

Further, this was not the first time Mr Fernandes was absent from such a meet. He did not attend the previous meeting as well, the JD(U) President said.

Asked about Mr Fernandes' statement in Patna yesterday demanding the resignation of the JD(U)-BJP government headed by Mr Nitish Kumar in Bihar, Mr Yadav said he was not aware of the comment.

The party president also ruled out any truck with the Janata Dal (Secular) headed by former prime minister H D Deve Gowda in Karnataka. ''Neither they have approached us, nor have we thought of any such proposal.'' Replying to another question on his party's continuance in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), he said it was still part of the alliance and there was no problem on this front.

Mr Fernandez is the Convenor of the NDA.
