Heavy rains to occur in Gangetic West Bengal

Pune, Oct 7 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Gangetic West Bengal.

Heavy rains are also likely to occur at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Chhattisgarh and south coastal Andhra Pradesh, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Telangana, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

They are also likely to occur at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat State and Madhya Maharashtra.

The southwest monsoon has subdued in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.

In the regions from where the southwest monsoon has withdrawn day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and east Rajasthan, and were above normal in some parts of Punjab. They were normal over Haryana, Saurashtra, Kutch and north Gujarat Region.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and in parts of Punjab. They were below normal in north Gujarat region and in parts of east Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch.

They were above normal in parts of west Rajasthan.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at many places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana and Lakshadweep. They have also occurred at isolated places in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
