Bareilly, Oct 7 (UNI) Expressing concern over the growing 'caste based politics' in Uttar Pradesh, AICC secretary and MP Jitin Prasad today warned that it would lead to anarchy in the coming days.
''Politics of caste and religion is a threat to the country's peace,'' the MP noted, while addressing newspersons here.
The poor should be treated equally without any caste discrimination, Mr Prasad added.
Lambasting the Mayawati led-BSP government in UP for annulling recruitment of around 18,000 constables and police radio operators so far, he said 'issues like employment are also becoming the target of politics, which only sends a wrong message in the community.' Mr Prasad further said ''important responsibilties had been imposed on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi by making him the party general secretary. He had been given the charge of party's youth wing, which would associate the party with youth.'' On being asked about the student union poll, he obsevred ''it was essential for developing political skills among the youth.'' UNI
