AP CM directs officials to explore one time settlement
Hyderabad, Oct 7 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the officials of Minority Welfare to explore the possibility of one time settlement in respect of margin money disbursed since inception of the AP State Minorities Welfare Corporation.
Reviewing the activities of the Minorities Welfare department with senior officials at Secretariat, Dr Reddy further wanted the officials to explore the possibility of forming male Self Help Groups by the Minority Welfare department.
The Chief Minister also directed that the information pertaining to the schemes of the department should be classified according to the functional categories for better comprehension and simplification.
Dr Reddy said the data relating to the minority women groups to be transferred to the Mission for Elimination of Extreme Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) and the department should work in close coordination with Indira Kranti Patham Urban.
It was also decided that all scholarship amounts should be transferred electronically to the account of the students.
Similarly, the tuition fee reimbursement should also be transferred to the bank account of the Institution, electronically, an official release said.
