Yediyurappa confident of BJP returning to power on its own

Bangalore, Oct 6 (UNI) Senior BJP leader B S Yediyurappa today vowed to lead his party to power in Karnataka on its own in the next Assembly elections.

Talking to newspersons at the airport soon after his arrival from New Delhi, he thanked the people of Karnataka for their co-operation during the last 20 months. '' The party had come out of the government following failure of coalition partner JD (S) to keep up its words''.

He advised the party workers to strive for the party's victory in the coming polls.

Earlier, Mr Yediyurappa, accompanied by Party Chief D V Sadananda Gowda and Ananth Kumar, MP were accorded a warm welcome by hundreds of party workers who had gathered at the airport.

Mr Yediyurappa said the BJP would meet tomorrow after which he would meet the Governor to submit a letter formally withdrawing support to JD(S).
