TILUWA displays 1170 pieces of embroidery works

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 6 (UNI) The Tiruchi Innovative Ladies United Needle Work Association (TILUWA) today displayed 1170 pieces of embroidery works in a bid to enter Limca Book of World Records.

TILUWA President Usha Sridhar said the 1,170 pieces, depicting the tower of Srirangam temple, were in different colours.

The pieces were the result of joint work by over 900 volunteers for nearly one month.

Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Commissioner K Rajaram said the government would provide financial support to womens associations to take up such projects.
