Marandi acquitted in case of violation of model code of conduct
Dumka, Oct 6 (UNI) A local court today acquitted Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Stephen Marandi in a 12-year-old case of violation of the model code of conduct in this district.
The court of First Class Magistrate S S Fatmi delivered the judgement as no witness was produced against Mr Marandi in the court.
According to the prosecution, a case was lodged against Mr Marandi in 1995 in the Masalia police station charging him with luring the voters of Tasria and Ajmeri villages.
