Iran road crash kills 17, injures 21: Agency
Tehran, Oct 6: A truck and a passenger bus collided in Tehran province today killing 17 people and injuring 21, the official IRNA news agency reported.
The two vehicles crashed northeast of the capital, IRNA quoted Mehran Alipour, an official from Tehran's emergency centre, as saying.
He said three of the injured were in critical condition.
Iran has one of the highest road accident rates in the world, blamed on inadequate police supervision, poor quality roads and reckless driving.
