Delhi: Fire breaks out in Mayur Bhawan

New Delhi, Oct 6: Fire broke out in the fifth floor of a multi-storeyed building at Connaught Place area early this morning, fire brigade officials said.

About 30-35 fire tenders and rescue vehicles were rushed to douse the blaze at Mayur Bhawan where the Income Tax office is situated.

The fire broke out at 0505 hrs, the officials said.

No casualties or injuries had been reported in the fire, that started from the fifth floor of the building which later spread to the fourth floor.

Operations are still on, the officials said, adding it is a medium range fire.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
