Bhubaneswar, Oct 6 (UNI) East Coast Railway has decided to run special trains towards Hatia and Puducherry to avoid rush during the Puja Season and also for the convenience of passengers.
According to the ECoR release issued here today, a pair of weekly Durga Puja Special train will run between Puri and Hatia from October 9 to November 21.
As per the schedule, the 0452 Puri-Hatia Durga Puja Special train will leave Puri at 1820 hours on every Tuesday during this period and will arrive Hatia at 0700 hours on the next day.
In the return direction, the 0451 Hatia-Puri Special train will leave Hatia at 2115 hours on every Wednesday and will arrive Puri on the following day.
Similarly, a pair of weekly special train will run between Bhubaneswar and Puducherry from October 12 to November 24. While the 0898 Bhubaneswar-Pondichery Special train will leave Bhubaneswar at 1145 hours on every Friday and arrive Pondichery at 1335 hours on the following day.
In the return direction, the 0897 Pondichery-Bhubaneswar special train will leave Pondichery at 1610 hours on every Saturday during this period and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 1730 hours on the next day.
Apart from these two special trains,three pairs of Super Fast Weekly Special trains will run through East Coast Railway jurisdiction during Durga Puja Holidays from Howrah to Puri and Yashwantpur and Chennai.
The 0809 / 0810 Howrah Pur-Howrah special train will leave Howrah on October 22 at 1820 hours and will arrive Puri at 0330 hours on Tuesday. In the return direction, the train will leave Puri on 23.10.07 at 2145 hours and will reach Howrah at 0645 hours (Wednesday). 0863 / 0864 Howrah - Yashwantpur- Howrah special train will leave Howrah on 24.10.07 at 1610 hours (Wednesday) and will arrive Yashwantpur at 0400 hours (Friday). In the return direction, this train will leave Yashwantpur on 26.10.07 at 2355 hours (Friday) and will reach Howrah at 1355 hours (Sunday). 0841 / 0842 Howrah - Madras- Howrah a special train will leave Howrah on 17.10.07 at 1610 hours (Wednesday) and will arrive Madras at 2015 hours (Thursday). In the return direction, this train will leave Madras on 20.10.07 at 0930 hours (Saturday) and will reach Howrah at 1355 hours (Sunday). These trains will have stoppages at different important stations in East Coast Railway jurisdiction.
