Silver, gold close higher on firm global advice

Mumbai, Oct 5: Spot silver and gold today closed higher, with the white metal gaining by Rs 205 per kg and gold by Rs 110 per ten gm from their last close on lack of offers from stockists in view of encouraging advice from global and upcountry markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 18,075 (17,870) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,430 (9,320) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,480 (9,370).
