SEBI asks AMI Computers to cease its registrar activities
Mumbai, Oct 5 (UNI) Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has directed AMI Computers to cease all activities pertaining to Registrar and Share Transfer Agent with immediate effect.
In an ex-parte order dated September 25, the SEBI has also directed National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) and Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) to put on hold all requests for dematerialisation and rematerialisation received through AMI.
The depositories have also been directed to instruct the client companies of AMI to shift their registrar and share transfer agent urgently.
The SEBI further said that the AMI may file its objections in writing with SEBI within 15 days of the order, if aggrieved.
