Seagram Champion cup football in Goa from tomorrow

Panaji, Oct 5 ( UNI) As a part of sports promotion in Goa, Seagram's imperial blue Champions Cup football- Goa 2007 will be held at two different venues in Goa from October 6 to 21.

The Goldline sports Chief Mr Ravi K Bura, said the tournament is being organised by Goldline sports, Hyderabad in association with Sirvodem Sports club, Navelim and Anjuna Gymkhana. This is the seventh edition.

In all 16 local teams will vie for top honours including reigning champions Shivodem Sports club and runners up Anjuna Gymkhana, Mr Bura said .

The matches will be played on knock out basis with two teams from each group will be clashing in the finals and runners up from both the groups will play for 3rd and 4th place.

The winners will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and a rolling trophy while runnerup will get Rs 10,000 and a trophy.

The third and fourth place team will get Rs 7,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively, Mr Bura informed.
