Mumbai, Oct 5 (UNI) National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), the central agency promoting 'Cinemas of India' with prime goal to plan, encourage and organise integrated and efficient development of the Indian film industry, will present the Film Bazaar at this year's edition of the festival.

It will be an effective and an interactive platform to promote Indian Films through a prominent Business Lounge and a Co-Production Market. The Film Bazaar will be conducted from November 24 to 26 in Goa at Marriot Resort alongside the 38th International Film Festival of India, NFDC Managing Director Ms Nina Gupta said here today.

The idea behind Film Bazaar 07 is to provide a proficient stage for prospective buyers and sellers of film rights from India&abroad. The Business Lounge will help the prospective buyers and vendors interact in a secluded business like ambience hence ensuring them of complete confidentiality and Non Interruptions. All delegates of Film Bazaar will have access to the International Film Festival of India as well, she added.

An interesting Co-production Market organized simultaneously will offer selected directors/ producers the opportunity to present their feature film projects (in all languages and at any stage of production) to co producers, bankers, funds, sales agents, distributors, TV stations, buyers and other potential financiers from India and abroad. The feature film projects, which the producers&distributors of various languages will present at the market, will be in English Language Version for easy relativity&understanding.

At this Market, 15 pre-selected projects drawn from all over India will be presented to all Film Bazaar participants from India and abroad. Films at all stages of production (from pre-production to post-production) can be entered in the Co-production Market. The last date for entry of projects in the co-production Market is October 15. Registration for Film Bazaar has been open since September 25, she informed.

Ms Gupta said, ''Over the years NFDC has provided a wide range of services essential to the growth of Indian cinema in its entire value supply chain in our country. In line with this goal, this year we want to take it a step ahead and offer an effectual medium for the creative and business aspects of this industry to meet and discuss on a global scale''.

''We plan to make the Film Bazaar an annual affair from NFDC,'' she added.
