IndiGo inducts 13th plane, starts Delhi-Agartala flights

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) IndiGo has taken delivery of its 13th brand new Airbus A320 aircraft and will operate it to start new daily flights from Delhi to Agartala via Kolkata from October 7.

After launching operations in August 2006, IndiGo has carried over 2.5 million passengers on over 19,000 flights.

''We are further consolidating our presence in India by strengthening our connectivity in the cities we already serve,'' said IndiGo's President and CEO Bruce Ashby.

With its 13th aircraft, the airline now operates 94 daily flights flying to 15 destinations including Agartala, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Vadodara.

IndiGo will take delivery of two additional brand new A320 aircraft this year, taking the fleet size to 15 by the end of 2007.

It plans to serve 30 Indian cities by 2010, with a fleet of 40 A320s.
