Sydney, Oct 4 (UNI) Former Australian spin wizard Shane Warne is all set to pass on the secrets of spin bowling from his ''remarkable cricket brain'' to the nation's next gen in order to create a pool of tweakers in the post-Warne era.
Presently, the legendary spinner is working with Cricket Australia (CA) officials in finding out the best possible means to put to use his vast experience and skill.
''I am speaking to Cricket Australia at the moment about how we can best utilise my skills and my experiences of the game and how we can get around to all the states and help the other spinners, talk to the captains,'' Warne said.
The 38-year-old Aussie, who retired from Test cricket in January this year, will play in the BCCI-backed Indian Premier in next April and will follow that with another season with his countyside Hampshire. He, however, does not have any pressing commitments with anyone during the Australian summer, which inticed the CA offcials to strike a deal as soon as possible.
''We're just working out the best way to do it, with the time restraints as well, in season, out of season, all that stuff.
Hopefully I can play a big part,'' Warne told 'The Age' newspaper.
The CA is aiming to strike an agreement with Warne for the coming season, although the details of the deals are yet to be completed.
''We would bite like a starving snapper if there was an opportunity to have him involved,'' CA spokesman Peter Young said.
''He is passionate about Australian cricket and wants to put something back into it. He has a remarkable cricket brain and what is really exciting, above all, is what he might do for slow bowlers.
It's an exciting possibility, but it's early days,'' he added.
Warne is keen to help the likes of Cullen Bailey, Dan Cullen and Cameron White to develop their craft and prepare them for the challenges of international cricket.
However, Warne wants former team-mate Stuart MacGill to get the first nod at the longer version of the game when they take on Sri Lanka in November.
