Three, including a woman, booked for cheating bank

Fatehgarh Sahib, Oct 4 (UNI) Police has booked three persons, including a woman, for allegedly committing fraud of Rs 22 lakh with a nationalised bank here.

On the complaint of P.C. Singla, Chief Manager of State Bank of Patiala, main branch, Mandi Gobindgarh, the police registered a case against Narinder Sharda of Prince Enterprises, Jasran near Mandi Gobindgarh; Paramjit Kaur and Rajesh Kumar, residents of Amloh town under section 420 of the IPC for allegedly committing fraud of Rs 22 lakh.

After receiving the complaint, incharge Economic Offence Wing of Fatehgarh Sahib police conducted an inquiry and case was registered against the trio.

Sources said that the accused had applied for bank loan on the basis of forged documents. When they did not return money to the bank, the bank adopted official procedure and during the checking it was found that the accused had applied for loan on the basis of forged documents.
