Three awarded rigorous imprisonment for fraud
Kohima, Oct 4 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner (Judicial) of the Nagaland Vigilance Commission S Hukato Swu has awarded rigorous imprisonment to three people for fraudulent withdrawal of money from the government exchequer.
Official sources said here today that Mr Swu yesterday awarded three years rigorous imprisonment to T Sangtam, a cashier in the State Bank of India.
Besides, he sentenced Block Development Officer Tokuho and Executive Engineer of Power Department Kughato to two years rigorous imprisonment.
All the accused were reportedly involved in the fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 32,08,238 from the Treasury Office at Zunheboto under Zunheboto district in 1998.
