Puducherry, Oct 4 (UNI) Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today said the administration would provide separate reservation to minorities in another ten days.

Mr Rangasamy gave this assurance to a PMK delegation led by party president G K Mani, who submitted a memorandum to him seeking reservation for the minorities.

Mr Rangasamy told the delegation that when the Tamil Nadu government had provided separate reservation to the minorities through an Ordinance, the Union Territory approached the Centre seeking permission to grant the same here.

Earlier, PMK Founder Leader S Ramadoss, addressing the procession, demanded that the administration provide reservation to the minorities.

He also demanded that the administration reserve constituency for the Dalits and provide more representation to them in the local bodies.

The PMK would organise agitations, if the administration failed to provide separate reservation to the minorities, he added.
