Kota, Oct 4 (UNI) Gujjar Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti convenor Col Kirori Singh Bainsla was shifted to Ajmer central jail from Bharatpur today while Gujjar leader and expelled BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal and former Zilla Pramukh of Jhalawar Sujaan Singh were shifted from Kota Central Jail.
The three leaders had courted arrest on Oct 2 during the Gujjar Arakshan Sangarsh Samiti's 'jail bharo' agitation to press their demand for reservation under ST category.
According to sources, Mr Gunjal was shifted to Jaisalmer while Sujaan Singh was sent to a jail in Sirohi district.
Gunjal was observing a hunger strike from the night of his arrest, complaining that police had taken the Gujjar volunteers to deserted places like forests instead of taking them to jails and that the arragements were inadequate for the arrested people in makeshift jails.
Meanwhile, 11 Gujjar volunteers who courted arrest on October 2 in Kota were admitted to the Maharao Bhim Singh hospital after they fell ill today.
