Akola, Oct 4 (UNI) An education officer at the zilla parishad has allegedly been caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000.
Bhikaji Morey (48), the officiating education officer, was caught last evening for demanding and accepting the bribe from in-charge head master of a Marathi primary school in Kinhiraja village.
Morey had visited the school on September 12 and had made adverse remarks in his inspection report. Morey met the head master, Pandurang Laxman Jaibhaye, at Washim the next day and demanded Rs 10,000 for giving good remarks. He later agreed to accept Rs 3,000.
