Chennai, Oct 4 (UNI) Lord Swraj Paul of Marylebone, founder of the UK-based Caparo Group, today expressed the group's desire to set up a University in Tamil Nadu.

''We will be opening a seat of education and higher learning in Tamil Nadu on the lines of an university or technical college, to be funded through the Ambika Paul Foundation,'' he told reporters ahead of the inauguration of Caparo manufacturing facilities at Sriperumbudur, near here.

Lord Paul said the Foundation was also keen on supporting primary schools in the State to encourage more children to come to schools.

Regretting that education in India was becoming a big business and was being politicised, he said ''both are dangerous as children deserve better.'' Education and health care were the two thrust areas that require huge investments, which in turn would yield greater returns, he said, observing that ''no other investment can have as good return as healthcare and education.''
