BJP Parliamentary Board meeting over K'nataka power transfer begins

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) The BJP Parliamentary Board meeting began here this afternoon to take stock of the political developments in Karnataka over the issue of transfer of power to the saffron party from the ruling Janata Dal (Secular).

The meeting, presided over by BJP President Rajnath Singh, was being attended by Leader of Opposition L K Advani, vice-president Yashwant Sinha and senior party leaders M Vankaiah Naidu and Sushma Swaraj, among others.

The BJP vice-president, who is also in charge of Karnataka, will apprise the Board of the Karnataka BJP's perception besides his personal talks with JD (S) chief H D Deve Gowda over the power transfer issue in Bangalore recently.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who is also projected as the Chief Ministerial candidate of the coalition government, was also attending the meeting.
