LONDON, Oct 3 (Reuters) Detectives charged two men today with manslaughter over the death of a 16-year-old boy found in a pond in central England.
The body of Shane Owoo was recovered from the pond in Bilston near Wolverhampton by police divers on Sunday.
A post mortem result revealed he had drowned but police launched a murder inquiry following reports stones and rocks had been thrown at him while he was in the water.
Detective Superintendent Mick Treble said it appeared three men had been involved in a dispute with Owoo on Saturday.
The two men charged over his death, aged 20 and 22, will appear before Wolverhampton magistrates.
Detectives said they were also seeking a 21-year-old man in connection with the death.
''Police are also asking for witnesses to a much earlier incident which is believed to have taken place on Sunday September 16 where in a similar set of circumstances a young lad may have been forced to get into the pool,'' a police spokeswoman said.
