Money detector machines to check fake currency smuggling
Maharajganj, Oct 3 (UNI) With a view to check the smuggling of fake currency at the Indo-Nepal border, money detector machines would be placed in the check posts of the custom department.
The machine would be fixed at about 12 check posts, situated along the 800 km long International border, sources said.
Fake currency of over Rs 20 lakh had been smuggled from Sonauli border of Maharajganj district in the past few months.
The machines had already been bought for the Maharajganj, Behraich, Balrampur and Siddharthnagar districts.
