Modi grants 60 acre land for Rs 1 to develop NIPER
Gandhinagar, Oct 3 (UNI) Chief Minister Narendra Modi today granted 60 acre of land at a token amount of rupee one to set up the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER).
According to Urban Development Minister I K Jadeja, Gujarat has been at the forefront in production of pharmaceutical products and has 40 per cent of total share in the Indian pharmaceutical market.
''Every year, the pharmaceutical industry in Gujarat grows by 8 per cent in the country. Gujarat will be the second state to have NIPER after Chandigarh,'' added Mr Jadeja.
