Congress GS has power to gather the people: Vaghela

Surat, Oct 3 (UNI) Union Minister of Textiles and senior Congress leader Shankarsinh Vaghela said Rahul Gandhi has power to gather people.

Addressing mediapersons here yesterday Mr Vaghela said, ''Rahul Gandhi represents youth in the party and now when he has become General Secretary he has power to gather people. Though gathering people and winning elections are two different things.'' Discussing the Ram Sethu issue he said it was not a minor problem. People who talk ill about it were not respecting sentiments of the Hindu community.

''During the rule of this government the state has been experiencing problems of price rise and law and order. And everything claimed by it is just a publicity stunt,'' Mr Vaghela added.

He accused the government of misusing the relief fund.

''Rs 15,000 crore, given for the relief, has gone into the pockets of some private companies including Reliance, Essar and Torrent Power,'' he alleged.

Talking about the BJP's ''internal problems'', Mr Vaghela said it was the party's problems and the Congress did not have anything to do with it.
